With the sunny whether we have been gifted here in the UK and the current lockdown, our gardens and outside spaces have become one of the sanctuaries of our homes. Now more than ever is the time to improve our outside spaces so we can enjoy a fresh breath of air without leaving the house. When we first moved into the flat we couldn't afford to dress up the balcony as we wished so this summer we plan to give it a revamp. Sadly, we probably won’t be doing the balcony up until after lockdown as the boyfriend wants to ensure we buy comfortable chairs and I don't blame him. It is unlikely that we will be going on holiday this summer, so it makes sense to create our own comfortable oasis right here in Hertfordshire instead. Lockdown has meant there was plenty of time to scour the internet looking for the right pieces to go on the balcony. After spending hours looking at all options out there I thought it would be fun to show you my top picks from the high street right now.

There are some fantastic products on the high street at the moment. La Redoute is really storming ahead in my opinion this season. I love the terracotta colour of the Brazier but due to space and cost we can’t buy an item like this right now. So instead I am planning to introduce this colour into the balcony scheme with soft furnishings. M&S are selling these lovely palm print cushions listed above at the moment, and they are a much more affordable way of revamping our outside space at a lower cost. Paired with soft lighting this natural earthy colour will create a tranquil environment, and that’s exactly what we want our outside space to be for us right now. If you're looking for something with a pop of colour M&S are also selling a stylish set of chairs in multiple colours as included in the edit above.

GARDEN RENOVATIONS

There has been a flurry of garden makeovers recently and pictures of older renovations posted to inspire us. I have picked a selection of some of the best garden renovations I've seen on the gram. Just looking at these pictures makes me want to get up and move to a house to do my own garden landscaping. One day hey! I hope these renovations give you some inspiration for your own outdoor spaces.
