8 of the best accessories to style a nordic & simple coffee table with

With our lives slowly returning back to normal, our homes are becoming homes again. We are now inviting friends and loved ones round for dinner and showcasing our spaces once again. Like most this year, I have taken this extra time at home to assess what was and wasn’t working in my home and that has led to a number of changes here at the being at home abode. I am completely redesigning my living room currently and this has lead to a new sofa and a new coffee table. I actually up-cycled this £20 coffee table, the process of which can be found over on instagram, and I styled the table with minimalist and nordic pieces to create a welcoming and neutral living room.

The coffee table is the area that friends gather around with a drink in hand to catch up after dinner. It tends to be a focal point of the living room as its centralised in the space so It’s not an element that should be overlooked when designing your living room. For this post I have sourced some beautiful and simple accessories that you can buy for your own home.

I personally love to include lots of books and sculptural vases on my coffee table to create a soft layered look. Curved and sculptural elements in the home are a big trend in interior design right now but I think it’s an element that’s stick to stay. For neutral home decor the addition of curved shapes helps soften the space as well as adding interest, stopping the space from falling flat. My advice is to pick pieces that draw the eye in and group these items together to display them best on your coffee table.

I put together a collection of 8 of the best minimalist and modern coffee table accessoires, to style a nordic and simple coffee table with. Ranging from candle holders, to books, to vases and ornaments all available from the high street.
